We have lots of newcomers that come to this site, and we are always in need of anyone that can check in on them or to guide them into detox, treatment or into a program. It seems that many people come on this website and "advertise" for a sponsor by opening a new discussion or making a statement in a forum that they want a sponsor. This is the wrong way to go about getting a sponsor. I recommend you simply ask someone. Be straight-forward about it. Send them a private message and ask for their help. People are generally on this site for one of two reasons - they either want a sponsor or they are willing to be one, so if their profile states they are willing to be a sponsor then feel free to ask them. They will be glad to hear from you. Trust me, you will get much better results by asking someone directly.
